This is a drawing of a farm I did in art class. I followed a book. For this drawing, the size of everything is very important. The size of the farm, the size of the house, even the size of the tree. Shading comes next. The color of the tree, the dark part under the farmhouse etc. This drawing was done very recently too, like at eh end of February.
This is a drawing of an ancient water jug. This was done pretty recently, like at the beginning of March. It's pretty cool, I like it, though it's not my one of my top favorite drawings. My favorite was the shading (again). For this one too, if you look closely, you will see little lines that make up the dark and light part of the drawing.
This is my drawing for the humane society this year. Each grade has a different slogan, and 6th grades slogan is "adopt a cat and have a purr fect pet (perfect). There are winners, and if you win the grand prize, you get a laptop. Yup, that's right, a FREE laptop. I used paint to color most of the drawing. I used color pencils to color the letters. Last year, I used color pencils for the whole thing, and that took a LONG time. So uh, yeah, hope I win something.
This coffee pot is one of my latest drawing. Okay, I drew it during January. I know I've said this a lot before to my other drawings, but this IS my favorite object sketch. At least for now. I like it because of the shadings. That's right, the white, gray and black. if you look closely, the shading is done by continuously drawing lines. THe darker, the more lines, and the lighter the less darker lines.
This is a sketch of a penguin that I did at drawing class. I showed this to my classmates in a speech, and that was small mistake. Because one of my classmates really love penguins, so when I showed it, she screamed. Then she kept bouncing in her seat until I took the drawing off. I haven't sketched animals for a long time, so I guess that showed.
this is a sketch that my little brother did, and as you can see, this is REALLY good, considering his age. Just look at it. He can drawing almost as good as me! And he's in FIRST grade!!!
This is a colored drawing of that my little brother did also. It's really good, like I said before. It made me open my mouth. He said he used oil pastel for this drawing.
This is a drawing made by my six-year-old little brother, Joseph. It's a sketch of a 3-d carrot. It's really good for a six year old. Not only that, this is his first sketch, even the teacher was surprised, but I was really surprised. If Joseph could draw such a good sketch now, what do you think he can draw when he's as old as I am?
This is a sketch that I drew. You've probably seen some of my other sketches, but those were all buildings. This is my first sketch of an object. It's my best sketch. My favorite part was how I made the light and dark shadings clear, with no "border lines". The sphere looks easy to draw, but actually it's harder than it looks.
This is my second lighthouse painting that I did in art class. That red blob next to the lighthouse on the horizon is actually the setting sun. I messed up because the paint from the sky had not dried yet. And what happens to two different colored wet paint comes together? They smear into each other. My favorite part is at the base of the lighthouse. The rocks. They were really nicely colored and the color choosing was just right. I also liked the part of the lighthouse where the sun hits it (you'll know because it's lighter, the almost white part on the lighthouse).
This was one of my first house sketch, and I still sort of like it. You would say this is a very nice drawing, but if you compare it to my other, later drawings, this one would not be that good. The date was when I first started drawing these houses/buildings, so if your really picky, you would see some of the lines are not straight, but it was my first time. Overall though, this was a pretty nice drawing.
Neat huh? The best car I've sketched so far. This, if you noticed, is a Dodge Stealth(I think it's a sports car). The secret to why it's so black is that I used a really black pencil. Blacker than any other pencil you've ever seen. Overall, this is my favorite CAR drawing that I sketched right now.
What do you think of when you see parrots? I think of Mexico, talking birds and pretty colored birds. This is a drawing I did at drawing class. It looks sort of like a color pencil drawing, but it's actually a painting. This was the first painting I did in drawing class. My favorite part was the bark and the leaves. Don't they look real?
This is a lighthouse sketch that I did a pretty long time ago. Most of my sketches came from some drawing books. This one was from one too, but it's missing something. There were supposed to be tourists walking around, but I didn't feel like sketching them. Besides, human beings are the hardest to sketch. But it was fine by me, because without them, the sketch still looked pretty nice(to me, that is). My favorite part was the lighthouse building, the shadings, the colors, the size etc. Even without the humans, it was still one of my best sketches.
This is a drawing I did for a drawing contest(it was my second one). I had high hopes of winning. But never did because we wanted to keep for memory and it was my first drawing contest. The contest is about the humane society and adopting and keeping pets safe. Each grade has a different theme and I think it's different each year. The hardest thing on the drawing was the cement sidewalk. It looks OK, but it took the longest. Reason is, it is made of little tiny circles(and that's my mom's favorite part of the whole thing).
This is a drawing that I drew when I was in drawing class. I drew it about four months ago, and I kept it in my sketch book. Then I thought I could give one of my drawings to one of my teachers, so I chose to give this one to him. It looked like the teacher was impressed, and he stapled it on the wall so everyone would see it. If you want to know, the favorite thing I liked about this sketch was the pole with the little bell on it.
