2009 Joseph Dancing (1st grade)

This is a video clip my mom took of my little brother dancing on the last day of school (I think it was a party). You can tell they've gone through lots and lots of practice. enjoy. The end of 1st grade for him, next year he'll be in 2nd grade.

A peacock....at church

This is a video of a peacock that dad took....at our CHURCH building. That's something you don't see everyday. Everybody's asking the same question: where did it come from? I don't know, somewhere maybe from the zoo. Peacocks are very pretty huh? The male ones have beautiful colors and feathers, which they fan out if they sense a female peacock nearby. Hope you like it.

Humane Society Drawing contest award

Remember the drawing I did for a drawing contest? That humane society one? Well, I did not win first place, but I did win an honorable mention (4th place). We went to this hotel, and they gave out the prizes there, and I got a sports bag. I don't know who won the laptop. Click on the first picture to make it bigger. Funny lego man call

This is a clip that you HAVE to watch. It's really funny.
It was pretty interesting to me because I love legos. So does my little brother.

wheel off a racecar

Wow, never seen that happen before. I wonder why the wheel came off in the first place. It's sort of funny to see that the wheel just kept rolling and rolling across the race track, and wasn't hit! That's amazing! COOL!

bird bath

I am sure glad that our upturned not used table is being used by birds. This is a rare sight. How many times have you seen birds taking a bath in your backyard? Mmmm, that cold water looks refreshing. Birds can take baths almost anywhere that has water. Isn't it funny how birds take showers? They flap their wings. They do that to dry off too. Come on in birds, always take a bath when you need one, it's open 24 hours a day, 7days a week (unless there's no water on the table).

Us playing with Freind's dog

It's a dog playing with children, that's pretty normal. But it's not normal to us, at least to Joseph(my little brother) and sort of to me. We usually don't like dogs, and we're sometimes scared of them. So, playing with a dog like that is really not normal, at least to us.Though, it was pretty fun to play with that dog.

Love your enemies

You know how the Bible says love your enemies? Well, this is a VERY good example of what that should look like. You don't have to play with them or anything, but you do need to love them, and care for them. By the way, that's the funniest cat I've ever seen. How many times have you seen a cat playing like that?

Snowy Christmas of 2008

First of all, I just want to say happy new year. Okay, now who ever said they wanted a white Christmas, well, your dream came true LAST year. These are video clips that my mom and I took on Christmas day. It was snowing, and snow was on the ground, it was beautiful. They say things like this have not happened for 40 years! So, we'll just have to wait 40 years till we get another snowy Christmas. Wow, 40 years. Just like the old days long ago.

2008 snow records

Year 2008 has broken lots of records, and has some very big news! First the earthquake, then the Olympics, and now, the whitest Christmas in Portland, Oregon. I think there's more, but that's all I can think of. This year, we've also broke snow records from 40 years ago! It's about the height of the snow on the ground in certain places. Go 2008!

Ducks on frozen pond

The ducks are walking around not cold, on a frozen pond! These are video clips that my dad took at the duck pond next to the park behind our house. Those ducks are so amazing huh? Walk around on a frozen pond, and dip their head in the water for long periods of time to look for food? They even went on the snow to look for food. I think they're just starving. Now that's something you don't see everyday. It's amazing how God made ducks to have all that fur, and not get too cold during winter, but it also makes them not so hot during summer. God's wonders are amazing.

INTEL in the snow

These are video clips that my dad took at the Ronler Acres Campus in INTEL. In the snow, that is. The campus does look pretty and white with all that snow huh? It's amazing how God created snow. With snow, everything that man made or nature made, it all looks beautiful. Too bad the snow melts and goes away. So, take this chance, or other chances to enjoy, and take pictures of snow, because they won't last long. Do you sometimes wish that it would snow all year? I did.

These are video clips that I took on the car. You don't see all this snow often, like every few.... A lot of years. Isn't this snow pretty? It covers all the stuff on the ground, which can be beautiful, but also very dangerous. This storm is the most severe storm I've ever seen. I've never seen snow this thick on the ground, and snow piling so high. Did you see the Beaverton Nike covered with snow? Isn't it beautiful? Now you don't see that often. This year has the whitest Christmas I've seen for a long time; hope we'll have some more white Christmases. It's the 2008 arctic blast. Have a very Merry Christmas.

sledding down a fun hill

"He's going, he comes down, and.... He FLIPS a 360 over the snow! Wow, you're kidding me, he stays on! Amazing!" That's my little brother sledding down the hill at the park behind our house. "Round 2. He pushes, he goes down! He also flips over! Is he also.... no, he fell out." That's me. that didn't go so well, but I had lots of fun. Actually, we both did. What my little brother did was amazing. Plus he didn't even cry. At the end he even said "Johnny that was so cool!" It WAS cool. Come back again and join us for more fun in the snow, and what we did, through the 2008 arctic blast.

2WD RC on snow 3 HD
This, is 2WD, but if you look closely, the tires on the car has something called "studs" on them. That helps a little to prevent sliding on ice, and provides more traction, just like snow chains. but you can't always count on these in a severe weather like this.

This is 4WD with studs on the tires also. These RC vehicles help you see a little on what real cars do, on normal road in conditions like this.

3 languages!

It's really a gift from God, that I have a chance to learn 3 languages, and I am very thankful. If you don't understand, that's okay. The 3 languages are: English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. I learned Mandarin from home, I learned English in school, and I learned most of the Cantonese from cartoons. The whole hose really WAS ice, the whole thing! THE whole hose.

It's snow!

Here ye, here, ye, message to all the creatures in the territory of the royal Po family! Okay, it's not really a big castle, it's a little, well, it's suppose to be a snow castle. At the end, we even put Christmas lights on them! So, where did we get all that snow? Most of it is from the snow around our house, but we used some of the neighbor's snow too(after permission). This snow was like 4 to 5 inches deep, now that's deep. So, how did we make all those cylinders? Easy, get snow, pack them together real hard in buckets. Then get them to the place you want it to be, then put the bucket upside down in the snow. To get it to come out, gently pat the bucket a few times, the gently lift the bucket. The size of the bucket doesn't really matter. If you want to move the cylinders, simply pick it up slowly, and move it.
